Hip Hope: Scotty Chats with Jor’dan Armstrong
You guessed it – a great interview with another hip hop artist Jor’dan Armstrong on Hip Hope this week! They chat over zoom, starting with Jor’dan’s creative space (or ‘man cave’ as dubbed by Scotty).
Jor’dan Armstrong is an artist, producer, and songwriter from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His fresh sound appeals to believers and unbelievers alike, helping to share the gospel with unbelievers. He presents songs that uplift, empower, and represent God. He has 5 top 20 radio singles, including ‘My God’, being his newest release.
Scotty and Jor’dan cover a range of topics, such as his musical career, faith, and the influence his mum had on him. His mum was a huge inspiration in both his musical and faith journey, and she was so important in starting him off singing in church (at just 5 years old). They discuss how the city of Atlanta was a catalyst for change in his musical career, and the story of him door knocking various recording companies with a demo CD when he moved there.
Listen to the full interview below, and catch Hip Hope at 9pm on Tuesdays.
