Hip Hope Kicks 2022 Off With a Bang With Guest V Squad

Hip Hope is back for 2022 and we’re starting the year with a bang with special guest V Squad. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas. V Squad is making music that is driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort, and spread love and joy to those that hear it.

V Squad is the embodiment of originality and uses his experiences and musical acumen to create an amalgamated and original sound.

After experiencing hurt by the church, he moved to secular rap. However, he felt drawn back to Christian rap, saying he could choose to give life or speaking death to somebody. My favourite quote from the interview is, “I immediately started writing for the Lord, and writing for the kingdom.”.

Scotty talks with V Squad about his background, music, faith, family, and future. They also chat about his songs, such as gospel-driven ‘Kingdom Talk’ and the meaning behind those lyrics. Make sure to keep an eye out for the release of V Squad’s upcoming EP on January 28th 2022!
