Sarah Nairne chats with Maz on the Takeover

Come From Away is in its final days at Her Majesty’s Theatre, and if you haven’t heard, is taking Adelaide audiences by storm. As Sarah Nairne who plays Hannah discussed with Maz on The Takeover, “People see the words ‘9/11’ and think ‘Woah! a 9/11 musical?’, but the writers kind of see it as the ‘9/12 Musical’ because it’s (about) everything that happens after that day.”

7,000 come-from-aways travelling in 38 planes are diverted to the small town of Newfoundland in Canada in the wake of 9/11 and are welcomed in by the local community in this heart-warming, wholesome, and talented re-telling of the aftermath of one of the world’s most shocking events. Through incredible storytelling which also showcases the importance of kindness and faith in devastating circumstances, Come From Away will leave you with a brand new perspective on the power of community and how much we all need each other.
