Aiden Chats to Paul Mergard, CEO of Destiny Rescue – The Sound of Freedom

2023 saw the release of the groundbreaking film Sound of Freedom, a movie that has taken in over 230 million worldwide, placing it in the top ten movies for the year. The movie is a true story set in the confronting world of human trafficking.

Aiden interviewed the CEO of Destiny Rescue Paul Mergard, Destiny Rescue is an Australian-based organization founded twenty-two years ago, which operates in 13 countries, rescuing girls who have been trafficked. While Destiny Rescue is not featured in the movie, the movie does give a bit of an idea of the kind of work that they do around the globe.

Over 1 million children around the world are caught up in human trafficking every single year and Sound of Freedom has brought awareness to the issue. This number is growing every single year.
